After qualifying as a Plastic Surgeon in South Africa 1998, I fine-tuned my reconstructive and cosmetic surgical skills working in a number of units in the United Kingdom. During this period I benefited from the knowledge and expertise of many internationally recognised surgeons. I passed my British Plastic Surgery examinations in 2002 and was awarded the CCST. I have been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in England for over five years and believe that my clinical and academic background give me a profound expertise and understanding of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. I work in close collaboration with many colleagues and have published numerous articles in professional journals. I am actively involved in teaching and research. Plastic Surgery is often concerned with the restoration of normal appearance and function. Cosmetic Surgery aims to enhance beauty. My dedication to my profession combined with my artistic interests allow me to offer individualised surgical care of the highest standard to all my patients.
